The "Gateway Arch" located at the "Jefferson National Expansion Memorial" in St. Louis, MO is 630' high. A specially designed "tram" takes visitors to and from the top. It has become the symbol of St. Louis around the world.

At 208', Cape Hatteras light, built in 1870, is the tallest lighthouse in the United States. Endangered by erosion, in 1999 it became the tallest structure ever to be moved during the "Move of the Century" when it was relocated to safer ground about 1/2 mile west of it's original location. Cape Hatteras light is located on the Outer Banks at Cape Hatteras, North Carolina.
