I crossed the Atlantic in 1961 at the age of 12 with my family. What a lucky little girl I was! For some reason we were upgraded to first class and it was lovely. It took 5 stormy days to cross from New York to LaHavre, France . I am pretty sure it was France and not Bremerhaven, Germany. My parents Carl and Elaine Cash, John, Pat, Colleen and Mandy Cash. I can't tell you how emotional it is to see her in ruin, totally gutted. I didn't realize it until I saw the video on television one night. I could not turn it off. What style, class and grace. My brother in law, Paul Bligh, is a merchant mariner from a while ago and told me recently the the Big U was his favorite. So I bought him the video. I hope its the one I saw.
